Hello! Welcome to the Mother Loaf Breads, a sourdough bread bakery based in Milan, Michigan. Because we do a long, cold, slow-ferment, each batch of bread takes 2-3 days to produce. We also make soups, treats and sometimes specialty items like pasties, so stop by to see what we’re up to!

We also make the bread for our neighbors, Original Gravity Brewing Company. They make great sandwiches!

NOTE: We have had major equipment failure. We are working hard to get this figured out and back up and running. There is no bake for Saturday, June 30 and it is unlikely that we will be open on Saturday, July 7, 2018 as well. Please check back here or on our social media pages for updates. Also, we will send out email updates, so look for those in your inbox if you are a mail list subscriber. Thank you for your understanding. 

Our bread is only for sale at our shop. We send out our menu each week, usually Friday evenings, so sign up for email updates if you’d like to get the menu in your inbox. Otherwise, we post a link to the menu on our Facebook page as well as our Twitter feed. We have a pretty kick ass Instagram too.
